COLLECTING INFO
This is a standard amongst console owners, you'd be hard
pressed in fact to buy a Videopac or Odyssey console without
Space Monster bundled with it, you will find a coipy of this
game on eBay 24/7/365 it is a common game, but then it
deserves it, because its fun and very playable.

Rarity in the UK 1/10 Guideline Price 4 (last eBay price 3 in
good condition. allow about 3 to ship to UK also and possible
customs charges). although you should find one in the UK with
a little patience, around the 2.50 mark and 1.50 postage.
Many variations available, only one should provide any
difficulty obtaining and that's the JOPAC, there was a plus
style casing release, although the game was unchanged, so
they are all basically the same. (other than the VG5000
Cassette). You really should have no problem obtaining at
least a standard one of this game, it was owned by every
Videopac owner in the land, I believe Philips sold more of this
game than they did consoles ????
PLAYING INFO
A strange variation on the popular classic ATARI arcade game
Space Invaders, Graphics are extremely poor in relation to
the cover artwork, most of the time the invading aliens are
simply round blobs or mushroom shaped things, not a patch
on the Atari classic, in any respect the advancing aliens do not
gather any great speed and you seem to have unlimited lives
(almost) so on your first game you could pretty much play this
forever, I have no Idea what made this so popular other than
Philips owners hoping to play space invaders, they were
quickly disappointed (have I mentioned I don't rate this) :).

If you do get hit by an alien laser, your tank turns into the
standard Philips man, all you do then is run under one of your
bases and click fire and your back in a tank however the base
disappears, so therefore you have 3 lives per screen not per
game and if you cant beat those odds, you should seriously
consider giving up gaming all together. So we are lead to
believe in true 80s A-Team fashion our little man did an
extreme makeover on the bunker (which incidentally was
indestructible as a base by either your or the aliens firepower,
but is a one hit wonder as soon as you make it into a tank.
