G7000 doesn't work on new TV? |
|
Hey guys,
I've recently bought a G7000, but I didn't manage to get it to work. I tried hooking it up to my Samsung LCD TV (Which worked with pretty much everything so far; NES, Intellivision, Pong consoles), but all I get is a flickering picture. I can tell that it changes when I change games, but I can't make anything out, and there's no sound. I then hooked it up to an LG LCD TV. Sound worked, but the picture was really scrambled and in black and white.
Seller said it worked just fine.. Do you think I should try an older TV? (Since it kinda worked better on one TV than on the other), or is there something wrong with my console?

Hey Rene!
It's a G7000/21, and I've tried again today on a different TV. Picture is scrambled and black and white...

The output of the RF modulator of the G7000/21 is on channel 32, 559.25 MHz, PAL, sound on 5.5 MHz.
Could be a problem with the antenna cable/plug of the G7000 console.

Yeah I set it to channel 32 559MHz and tried fine tuning, but it wouldn't work. I'll try opening it up, but I have no idea what I have to look for..
Thanks anyways!

If the antenna plug causes problems, you can cut it off and put a new plug on the cable.
If the RF cable causes problems it will be difficult to replace it, as it is soldered on the RF modulator.
Can you show a picture of the problem?

Perhaps this problem could be solved with the AV mod?

Possibly, but not everyone will be able to do this mod himself.
