t this point Philips began more intensely on arcade type conversion games, I'm not sure this was released with a cardboard cover. Infamously the cause of a major 1981 lawsuit between Philips/Magnavox and Atari as clearly the game is modelled on Pacman. the similarities were too much for Atari to let by, for some reason Magnavox on its US release thought that changing the name from Munchkin to KCs Munchkin would allow some relief from the lawsuit. Magnavox initially won the suit but determined Atari eventually forced This best-seller off the shelves, by then the damage was done and Videopac 38 Munchkin was The Videopac's most successful game (so the ban didn't increase its value as there are millions of the buggers to be had). Philips not to be outdone by Atari Philips 1 year later released Crazy Chase (Videopac 44) the same, but the undeniable different game and our hero (and my avatar) returns. It even caught the imagination of a game hacker who went to the trouble of making the Sprites look even more Pacman-esq, you can download his version below.
