Les Tresor Englouti or The Sunken Treasure in English was limited to release only in France and seemingly without any variants anywhere in other regions or by other distributors makes this highly collectable and an offering of a completely different game. however, weirdly this one is possibly one of the easiest Jopac games to acquire in Europe, it must've been hugely popular. pop on to ebay.fr, search Jopac, you'll probably find three or four listed at any one time.

And no wonder it was popular, this original game has Plus enhanced graphics for the initial swim screen, almost reverse frogger like, you swim down to a cave where you can find the sunken treasure, avoiding squid like creatures on your dive. then when you enter the cave, it switches to the overused Videopac grid system, for a similar experience to turtles, you swim around the maze opening treasure chests, careful not to release a dreaded giant squid, who will chase you. this part a little like Turtles, but a little slower in action.
